About The Position

The Debt Capital Markets Operations Coordinator is responsible for taking ownership of all tasks and challenges encountered in the operation of their assigned position. This role involves processing securities transactions with a high degree of accuracy in various operational systems within a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple requests simultaneously. The coordinator will independently leverage technology and resources to achieve routine efficiencies and provide extraordinary customer service in a professional team environment. This position is hybrid and can be based out of locations in Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; or Colorado.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and work with other team members to ensure that daily responsibilities are handled timely.
  • Proficient with general office machines and programs to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software that might be utilized in the department.
  • Ability to use the computer efficiently and the capacity to learn new software programs as they are rolled out by the Bank.
  • Good knowledge of business English, including spelling and punctuation when writing.
  • Basic English language skills to speak clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers.
  • Well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail.
  • Cooperative and willing to assist coworkers and customers on a regular basis.
  • Effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to others talk (without interruption), understand them, and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made by others.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to function well under pressure.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure and respond to customer and coworker concerns regularly.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to follow instructions to the letter.
  • Patient and willing to help others in solving problems while always maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Minimum High School diploma or general education degree.
  • Five to seven years related experience and/or training.
  • Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation.

  • Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Debt Capital Markets Operations procedures.
  • Provide assistance related to budget and pricing.
  • Participate in Risk Management and Risk Control development.
  • Coordinate BCP/DR activities.
  • Recommend system enhancements and leverage technology and resources to achieve efficiencies.
  • Assist with training, management reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Assist management to prepare for audits and fulfill audit requests.
  • Research complex transactions, investigations, or concerns.
  • Provide extraordinary customer service to customers, colleagues, and associates (both internal and external) enthusiastically, professionally, and with confidence through various means of communication.
  • Accurately process securities transactions through various systems, including the entry of detailed information for establishing new accounts, new security issue setup, trade tickets, settlements, payments of principal/interest, and pledging.
  • Leverage technology and resources appropriately to perform various functions efficiently, including communications, recordkeeping, and reporting.
  • Research and resolve issues independently.
  • Provide knowledge sharing with team members to strengthen understanding of processes, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Remain knowledgeable of changes affecting securities processes that may create operational or service opportunities.
  • Strive to achieve an in-depth understanding of securities and processing, as well as a general understanding of other Division services.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external customers, management team, and other contacts.
