About The Position

SailFuture Academy is seeking a Dean of Students to shape a positive, supportive, and high-expectation culture across its campus. This role is crucial in fostering student growth—emotionally, socially, and academically—and guiding students toward adulthood and independence. The Dean of Students will be a driving force in cultivating a school culture rooted in respect, accountability, and purpose, leading student behavior systems, and implementing individualized growth plans. This position involves building strong relationships with students and their families, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and designing and leading engaging student activities. The role also includes recruiting and managing volunteers and community partners, establishing strategic partnerships with local middle schools, and overseeing key operational areas such as daily transportation, the school lunch program, student scheduling and enrollment, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally in education, youth development, or leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Proven leadership track record with demonstrated growth and responsibility
  • Strong communicator with experience in relationship-building roles (e.g., customer service, sales, coaching)
  • Independent, self-motivated problem solver with strong critical thinking skills
  • Committed to continuous personal and professional growth
  • Professional, confident, and approachable demeanor

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a school culture rooted in respect, accountability, and purpose.
  • Lead student behavior systems and implement individualized growth plans.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students and their families.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment—physically, emotionally, and intellectually.
  • Design and lead engaging on- and off-campus student activities.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers and community partners to enhance learning.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with local middle schools to support enrollment pipelines.
  • Oversee key operational areas of the school, including daily transportation and student bussing, school lunch program and food services, student scheduling and enrollment, and inventory and supply management.
