This role supports the principal in evaluating teachers by conducting observations, providing feedback, and ensuring the fidelity and completion of the evaluation process. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in educational administration, guidance, counseling or related field
  • Familiarity with urban school students
  • Tennessee Teacher’s license

  • Meets the requirements to or has obtained an TN administrator license

Responsibilities

  • Assist in observing and recording teacher performance and providing high quality feedback on performance to teachers.
  • Support the principal in evaluating teachers in the building by conducting observations, recording ratings and comments, and providing feedback to teachers.
  • Support fidelity and completion of evaluation by in-school administrative team through norming sessions, documentation reviews, and calibration walkthroughs.
  • Record accurate ratings and comments in TOWER and CODE in a timely manner.
  • Provide high-quality, clear feedback to teachers in pre- and post-conferences.
  • Maintain state evaluation certification, including attending Tennessee Department of Education TEAM certification training if needed.
  • Understand and be able to communicate TVAAS and TEAM weights and calculations.

  • The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference.
