Under the direction of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Dean of English, Social and Behavioral Sciences provides visionary leadership in support of teaching and learning for our students. This position leads, encourages, and supports the delivery of instruction and student support services in the following areas: Anthropology, English, English as a Second Language, Ethnic Studies/Gender Studies, History, Philosophy/Religious Studies, Political Science/Economics, Psychology, and Sociology. Administrators may be assigned responsibility for a combination of day, evening, and weekend programs, on-campus and off site. Each instructional Dean assumes responsibility for some college-wide functions and is responsible for grants management in their areas. Managers will be expected to perform other duties consistent with their job description.
