Dean, Faculty of Science
About The Position
The Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership to Monash University's Faculty of Science, driving excellence in research, education, student success and external engagement. The Dean will champion international connectedness and interdisciplinary collaboration, foster innovation, and strengthen the Faculty's contribution to addressing society's grand challenges. Reporting to the Provost and serving as a member of the University's senior leadership team, the Dean will help shape organisational strategy, build the Faculty's national and international profile, and position it for continued success in an interconnected and technology-enabled world. The successful candidate will be an internationally respected academic leader with a distinguished scholarly reputation and a proven record of leadership in a research-intensive environment. They will bring strategic, commercial and organisational capability, and the vision and collaborative leadership style to inspire performance and cultivate a culture of excellence, inclusion and achievement. The role calls for an influential relationship builder with experience engaging across academia, industry, government and philanthropy, and developing strategic international partnerships and globally significant research and education collaborations.
