About The Position

St. Norbert College seeks a mission-driven, entrepreneurial academic leader to serve as Dean of Faculty / Chief Academic Officer. Reporting to President Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D., and serving on the President’s Cabinet, the Dean is the College’s senior academic leader and the President’s lead partner in advancing the academic enterprise. The role calls for a change agent who will guide faculty and staff in delivering a compelling value proposition for traditional undergraduates while diversifying programs and markets, including dual enrollment, online learning, and lifelong learning. The Dean will use data to guide decisions about programs, curriculum, and resources. The Dean oversees an Assistant Dean of Faculty, divisional chairs, the Registrar’s Office, and the Mulva Library. The position advances St. Norbert College’s Catholic and Norbertine mission across teaching, scholarship, and the student experience, and partners with Cabinet colleagues on enrollment, student success, and financial sustainability. St. Norbert College is a Catholic liberal arts college founded in 1898 by the Norbertine order. It has nearly 1,400 students and is located on 111 acres along the Fox River in De Pere, Wisconsin, just south of Green Bay. It is the only Norbertine college in the world. The College’s motto is Docere Verbo et Exemplo (“to teach by word and example”), and its educational mission fosters each student’s intellectual, spiritual, and personal development. The College describes its commitment to communio—the Norbertine ideal of a community united as one—as grounded in dignity, truth, and justice. The position is exempt and has scheduled weekly hours of 40. The successful candidate is expected to relocate to the De Pere area; reasonable relocation support is available. Applications should include a letter of interest, current CV, five professional references, and a letter describing alignment with the College’s mission and values. References will not be contacted without the candidate’s permission. For full consideration, materials should be received by November 9, 2026; review continues until the position is filled.
