About The Position

The Dean of Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership and oversight of the college’s enrollment lifecycle functions — from recruitment and admissions to data-driven enrollment planning initiatives. This senior leadership position develops and manages strategic enrollment objectives that align with institutional goals, enhances the student experience, and advances retention and enrollment outcomes. The Dean of Enrollment Management will lead the integrated delivery of enrollment services including admissions, student recruitment and community outreach. The Dean serves as a key Student Excellence and Success Division leader charged with delivering service excellence and actively contributing to institution-wide enrollment, retention, persistence and completion efforts. The Dean oversees departments of Admissions, Recruitment, Academic Advising, and the strategic enrollment management planning process. This leader will be expected to incorporate higher education best practices in collaboration with academic leadership into the vision, strategy and practices of the department. Requirements

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in enrollment management, student services, admissions, or related higher education administration
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Provide institutional enrollment management leadership throughout the student life cycle, including student recruitment, retention, and completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of admissions, financial aid, records security, student records processing, related federal regulations, including familiarity with FERPA and Title IV.
  • Strong familiarity with student information systems and customer relationship management solutions.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population.
  • Demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use data-analytics and predictive modeling to enhance enrollment management initiatives.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of the use of social media for enrollment purposes.
  • Goal oriented and intrinsically motivated with superior customer service and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, peers, and community.
  • Demonstrated experience and support of student retention initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current Student Services practices and protocols to support student success.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and CRM systems for enrollment strategy and analysis.

  • Ellucian/Colleague experience preferred.
  • Experience in a community college setting.
  • Experience leading strategic enrollment planning across multiple student populations (dual enrollment, international, military).
  • Doctorate in related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic enrollment and retention planning, creating enrollment goals and strategies for targeted student populations to advance institutional growth, retention, and the College’s mission of access.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that supports institutional goals for recruitment, retention, and graduation.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives aligning enrollment services with academic and student success priorities.
  • Leveraging and developing enrollment management strategies to promote and increase enrollment in curriculum and programs.
  • Use data analytics and CRM systems to track and forecast enrollment trends and improve student pipelines.
  • Lead cross-divisional collaborations to strengthen recruitment, retention, and financial aid leveraging.
  • Provides support to Early College and Dual Enrollment Programs at the college.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year, data-informed enrollment management strategy aligned with institutional goals and the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Effectiveness and Finance to create data-informed enrollment projections and models.
  • Monitor enrollment trends, demographics, and market dynamics to inform decision making and adapt strategies.
  • Oversee operations for Admissions, Recruitment, Academic Advising, orientation, and related student services areas.
  • Consults with Information Technology Services, has a working knowledge and participates in the development and enhancement of current CRM and specialized automated systems; maintains current knowledge in the latest enrollment management systems.
  • Administrative understanding of technology related to functional areas, including hardware and software capabilities; and provides major input to long-range technology planning decisions.
  • Ensure enrollment procedures meet regulatory compliance and institutional standards.
  • Advises and responds to questions from College departments and external agencies regarding complex issues or policies impacting assigned programs and services.
  • Investigates, addresses and resolves problems, grievances, and complaints related to conduct issues of faculty and/or students.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications, Workforce & Continuing Education, and Student Development on marketing strategies related to dual enrollment, new, and continuing student enrollment, including digital, broadcast, print, and CRM campaigns to ensure message alignment and strategic impact.
  • Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate enrollment management staff.
  • Leading teams and developing team building strategies is paramount.
  • Manage departmental budgets aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with area K-12 districts, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Building cross collaboration across divisions, with faculty and within SES.
  • Leverage data analytics and predictive modeling to inform strategy, manage the enrollment funnel, and improve conversion and yield rates.
  • Represent the college at community events, professional meetings, and cross-functional teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
