About The Position
Key Auto is seeking a motivated Service Technician to build a career and grow within the automotive industry. The position offers pay of up to $50.00 flat rate, depending on experience and certifications, with opportunities for advancement and promotion from within. The technician performs vehicle maintenance and repairs to dealership and manufacturer standards, diagnoses automotive systems, communicates additional service needs to Service Advisors, and carries out warranty repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE Certification required.
- B-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
- Dexterity, steady hands, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
- Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers are informed about additional service needs.
- Estimate the time needed for additional repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
