About The Position

The Part-Time Dealer Trade Driver transports vehicles safely and on schedule between dealership locations. The role requires coordinating with dealership personnel, completing delivery paperwork accurately, inspecting and maintaining the transport vehicle, and following applicable traffic and transportation safety regulations. When not transporting vehicles, the driver may assist with other dealership duties, such as organizing inventory and conducting vehicle inspections.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proven professional driving experience, preferably in an automotive dealership or transportation field.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and road safety regulations.
• Ability to drive and handle vehicles of varying sizes, including larger trucks and trailers.
• Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret delivery documents accurately.
• Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and follow schedules.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with dealership personnel and resolving transportation-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between dealership locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
• Load and unload vehicles onto and off the transport trailer using safe practices.
• Follow transportation and delivery schedules provided by dealership management.
• Accurately complete and submit delivery receipts and vehicle transfer documentation on time.
• Keep the transport vehicle clean, organized, properly fueled, and maintained.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with dealership personnel and communicate delays or other issues.
• Follow traffic, road safety, and commercial vehicle transportation regulations.
• Respond to unexpected situations or emergencies according to dealership protocols and report incidents as required.
• Assist with other dealership duties as needed, including organizing inventory and performing vehicle inspections.
