About The Position

The Deal Analyst is a key analytical and operational resource for GGP's leasing team, supporting multiple leasing professionals across complex retail leasing transactions. This role is responsible for the collection, analysis, and synthesis of retailer performance data, market rents, sales data, and property-level metrics — translating raw data into deal packages, proposal summaries, and executive-ready presentations that drive leasing decisions. Working closely with Leasing, Deal Facilitation, and Lease Operations teams, the Deal Analyst ensures that deal information is accurate, timely, and actionable from initial negotiation through final execution. Success in this role is measured by the accuracy and timeliness of deal packages delivered, the quality of data analysis provided to the leasing team, and the effectiveness of cross-functional coordination across the deal lifecycle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum years of experience in data analysis, leasing coordination, or real estate operations role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data modeling, complex formulas) strongly preferred given the data analysis requirements of this role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams accurately and on deadline.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities with a sense of urgency, reprioritizing effectively in response to shifting business needs.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb and apply new information across multiple concurrent projects and property portfolios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise summaries for leasing professionals and senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Prepare lease proposal packets, presentations, and supporting materials for potential retailers.
  • Compile, maintain, and regularly update site and marketing materials for assigned leasing portfolio.
  • Review existing lease agreements and prepare clear summaries of key terms and conditions.
  • Collect and analyze data from a variety of internal and external databases and sources to support leasing proposals, presentations, and retailer discussions.
  • Collect, review and analyze lease data such as rent, sales, lease terms, comparable retailer information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Review prior and current lease language and prepare concise lease abstracts or summaries for assigned leasing professionals.
  • Gather, organize, and summarize input from property teams regarding potential leasing transactions, including renewals, new leases, expansions, and relocations.
  • Research and summarize conflicting deal negotiation terms, providing relevant information to assigned leasing professionals to support resolution and negotiation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to complete accurate deal term sheets and supporting documentation, incorporating revisions as needed.
  • Prepare lease deal packets and summary sheets for submission and approval to the Executive Lease Committee or other designated approval groups.
  • Obtain and organize required lease exhibits and supporting materials from internal and external sources in a timely manner.
  • Monitor progress from negotiation through execution of the final agreement; maintain accurate status records, follow up on outstanding items, and provide regular updates to assigned leasing professionals.
  • Document departmental processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of approved process enhancements.
  • Assist with the rollout and adoption of new or revised processes across cross-functional teams.
  • Research, prepare, edit, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, presentations, and other business materials.
  • Support daily leasing team operations, including scheduling, expense reporting, meeting and logistics coordination, and completion of required business reports.
  • Organize and maintain complex, confidential, and time-sensitive information with high degree of accuracy while coordinating multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
