About The Position

This leadership role leads all aspects of service operations for DDP Service Business Unit (SBU) supporting the after-market business for Applied materials product group. The leader engages cross-functionally to deliver world class services to Applied Materials’ customers in the semiconductor industry. This is an entrepreneurial high growth business opportunity within the Applied Global Services Business Unit

Requirements

  • Technical degree with minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Extremely proactive and strong leadership by example, can lead/manage through ambiguity
  • Strong operations experience with a performance-based track record, productivity leadership experience a plus.
  • Strong engineering (industrial engineering preference), quality systems, program management background
  • Customer focused - Strong business acumen with previous engineering experience
  • Highly respected technical and operations focused leader
  • Experience with production line or semiconductor manufacturing environment processes
  • Positive can-do hands-on entrepreneurial attitude that builds support
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal presence that extends confidence and humility
  • Experience building and delivering senior executive level presentations
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver to multiple KPIs
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, quality, strategy, management)
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Interpersonal Skills Negotiates, influences and collaborates with senior executives both internally and with customer organizations; exercises sensitivity to the audience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead DDP SBU FSO focal team to support Service revenue growth and Margin Improvement with the following key focus areas- Field Performance Management – Monitors service contract KPIs; capture field learning, drive corrective actions, implement cost reduction programs
  • Service Product support – Drives field qualification, adoption of service solutions (Alx, material and component Engineering) to meet KPI and demonstrate service value.
  • HVP Discovery – Identify customer HVPs, tool failure modes and chronic issues for service capability development
  • Partner with AGS focal to drive service contract penetrations
  • Field Readiness & Scaling – Ensures CE training, documentation and certification for NPIs and sPDP
  • Escalation & Issue Resolution – Serves as escalation point for complex field issues; coordinates with FSO, TSE, and BU productivity teams
  • Productivity Improvement/ I&W Cost Optimization – Collaborates on I&W cost reduction projects; Drive field productivity improvement programs
  • Supports development of business requirements and drives enterprise system improvement to support business needs.
  • Supports selection, development and maintenance of Ops/SC partner and vendor ecosystem for refurbishment and kit clean programs
  • Oversees and matrix influences all functions and partners to deliver contract performance.
  • Builds strong teams and cross-functional engagement across multiple geographies & external partners including FSO, AGS Engineering, BU Ops, WWOPs, Finance, Legal etc.
  • Communicates progress /execution to senior executives and stakeholders
