About The Position

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation business, is a leader in the design and manufacturing of Pumper Apparatus vehicles. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Unit Director to lead our business, overseeing all aspects of product innovation, strategic planning, and financial performance. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving business objectives and will have full P&L responsibilities. This role reports to the Vice President & General Manager of Pierce Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing or a related industry

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive growth, innovation, and market expansion in alignment with corporate goals.
• Operational Excellence: Support of daily operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and customer service, ensuring efficiency and adherence to industry standards.
• Product Innovation & Industry Leadership: Champion a culture of innovation by steering product development initiatives that anticipate both customer needs and position Pierce as a leader in next-generation firefighting and support equipment. Collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate go-to-market strategies and technology integration.
• Financial Management: Manage the division's Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure fiscal health and profitability.
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
• Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealers, suppliers, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business development.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with applicable regulations, safety standards, and corporate policies.
