About The Position

As a puller at Rural King’s distribution center, you will use equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight. You will retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes for shipment to stores, and locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight for later retrieval. The role also uses an RF scan gun, follows warehouse processes, and helps ensure freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Requirements

• At least one year of warehouse or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education (preferred qualification).
• Ability to interact with a team in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to produce accurate, error-free work that meets quality standards and identify errors or inconsistencies when reviewing information.

Responsibilities

• Use cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight.
• Retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes for shipment to stores.
• Locate warehouse locations and put away inbound freight for later retrieval.
• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as needed.
• Ensure freight is directed to the proper location and maintain proper documentation in the warehouse management system.
• Accurately follow inbound, outbound, and freight relocation processes.
• Ensure freight is stacked securely before moving a pallet.
• Meet quality and production KPI goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support.
• Participate in learning initiatives such as training programs and workshops.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Rural King's values and perform other duties as assigned.
