About The Position

Responsible for the accurate receipt, shipment, storage, and production process of materials according to all established Company and regulatory policies and procedures. Position encompasses processing customer orders while maintaining accurate records; and responding to customer inquiries about product pricing, availability, and scheduled deliveries. Acts as liaison between customers, Purchasing, and Warehouse to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment, including experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and pick / pack
  • Knowledge and understanding of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness, and hazardous material shipping
  • Familiar with near-miss and MSDS reports, UPS, FedEx, and dedicated Logistics systems
  • Proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn internal database and software systems
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

  • Forklift certification
  • 1-2 years of non-retail Customer Service experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely receipt and shipping of materials following FIFO and freight claim or backorder procedures while supporting all freight and safety policies.
  • Pull and assemble customer orders and check outbound orders for accuracy / completeness.
  • Perform inventory stock checks; restock and label vendor product and conduct daily cycle counts.
  • Serve as a liaison between Customer Service, the Warehouse, and Purchasing.
  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to maximize efficiency on freight spend; evaluate routing to determine the most efficient routes.
  • Work with vendors, Buyers, Warehouse, and Customer Service to obtain and electronically manage COA per Company guidelines and customer expectations.
  • Serve as a customer contact and deliver Stellar Service through accurate order entry, problem resolution, and organizational support.
  • Immediately communicate all special requests, modifications to orders, backorders, shipping delays or cancelled orders to appropriate internal and external customers.
  • Provide basic price quotes, maintain accurate pricing in the system and communicate with Sales and customers, confirming price supports and update records accurately.
  • Understand and comply with applicable government regulations (US: DOT, EPA, OSHA; Canada: Transport Canada, Environment Canada and Worksafe BC) and specific HS&E requirements, including the Driver and Warehouse Manual. Actively participate in and support C1 Safety Culture.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety rules and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
  • May facilitate training to other employees and customers.
