About The Position
The DC Administrative Assistant supports the Distribution Center Manager by administering office functions and performing other duties as necessary at Runnings’ Kentland, Indiana distribution center. The position pays $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience.
Requirements
- Computer skills are required.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Occasional periods of standing.
- Frequent walking, bending, and twisting.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Report shortages to vendors and relay information to the Accounting Department with proper documentation.
- Package and handle items returned to vendors.
- Manage daily mail activities.
- Contact vendors for missing packing lists.
- Keep records of shortages.
- Replenish break room supplies and keep the break room clean and organized.
- Assist the defects department as necessary.
- Scan packing lists.
- Schedule inbound deliveries.
- Work with receiving and splitting leads on damages and claims.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
