About The Position

Maintains and replenishes stock safely and efficiently to meet customer purchasing needs, while consistently providing friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers. The role includes maintaining product quality and stockroom conditions, ordering and preparing merchandise, building displays, assisting customers, and performing related duties as assigned. Work may involve varying weather conditions, freezer and cooler environments, and potential hazards associated with equipment and work aides. Employees must comply with company policies and applicable laws. Duties and qualifications may vary. For minors, hours and equipment operated may differ.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Food Handlers Certification, as required by state law.
Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
Ability to work varied hours between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to complete work activities safely and accurately and visually inspect merchandise placed on shelves.
Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects from floor level to overhead: up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to push and pull hand trucks and pallet jacks containing substantial product weight.
Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for long periods; bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
Ability to perform repetitive work accurately and with mental alertness, and to perform basic arithmetic.
Ability to learn and memorize product locations, check stand and keyboard procedures, company policies, PLU codes, inventory-control merchandising, and shipping and receiving procedures.
Manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination to move freight and place small items on hooks and shelves.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, freezer and cooler environments, and around potential equipment, tool, and work-aide hazards.
Ability to perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers while maintaining a friendly, enthusiastic customer-service environment.
Maintain product quality; stock, rotate, and face products; discard outdated or spoiled products; and maintain the stockroom.
Order products, cut cases, stack, price, and mark merchandise.
Build product displays and operate related equipment, including hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Maintain a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment.
Assist customers with questions.
Perform occasional checking duties while providing friendly, courteous customer service.
Cut boxes precisely and place small containers on shelves.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
