About The Position

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you will be safety minded and customer service oriented in a fast-paced environment. You will help oversee recreational and lap pools, both indoor and outdoor, monitor the pool deck, maintain safety on water slides, and assist with aquatics events such as “Dive in Movies” and “Poolapalooza.”

Requirements

Working toward a High School Diploma or GED.
StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification, or bridge to StarGuard when the current certification expires or within the first year, whichever comes first.
Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool, and swim the brick to the top without stopping.
Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

6 months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact with Members.
Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid.
Ensure swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities.
Keep the pool area clean and orderly to ensure Member safety.
