About The Position

The Daytime Bagger provides courteous customer service by bagging purchases, placing filled bags in carts, and carrying purchases to customers’ cars. The role also includes retrieving carts from the parking lot, maintaining cleanliness in the store and parking area, restocking bags, removing trash, returning merchandise to shelves, and checking shelf tags and prices. Training is provided at the store level. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and available Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to be considered.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to be considered.
• Must be able to bend and stoop.
• Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time.
• Must be able to work outside in seasonal weather.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work on feet for the entire shift, which is 4 to 8 hours.
• Internal store/facility candidates are preferred to have at least six months of employment with Schnucks.
• Internal Store Support Center candidates are preferred to have at least one year of employment with Schnucks.
• Internal candidates must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline; interview candidates must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags and put filled bags in carts.
• Carry customers’ purchases to their cars.
• Retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, parking lot, and carts.
• Stock bags at checkout stands.
• Empty trash from checkout stands and the service center.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Return merchandise left at checkout to shelves.
• Read and understand shelf tags.
• Verify merchandise prices.
• Perform other duties assigned at the discretion of store management.
