About The Position

Mentoring Alliance is seeking ministry-minded Daycare Teachers for its After School team in Abilene, Texas. The role focuses on fostering youth development in an after-school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. The organization describes the position as an opportunity to serve as a role model and help children reach their full potential. Mentoring Alliance is a Christian ministry that provides after-school care and activities and seeks to mobilize godly people to support children and families. The organization considers each staff position integral to its mission and views the Daycare Teacher first and foremost as a Minister of the Gospel. This is a non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17–20 hours per week, with work scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.

Requirements

Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
Be at least 17 years of age.
Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
Be able to work Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., during the school calendar year.
Have the ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification.
Pass a mandatory background and sex offender check.
Have a valid driver's license or valid ID.
Be legally allowed to work in the United States.
Have dependable transportation.
