About The Position

Housekeeping Aides support the health and safety of children by keeping the childcare center organized and clean so children can learn and grow. The role maintains the building, classrooms, and playground in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; performs janitorial tasks; cleans school equipment and facilities; and helps with seasonal decorations and displays.

Requirements

• Be comfortable working around children.
• Be willing to learn and grow in a team environment.
• Meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check as a prerequisite of employment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and cleaning restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Assist with cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
• Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
• Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays.
