About The Position
The Child Care Cook, also referred to as a Food Specialist, is responsible for food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. The role involves adapting to menu changes and meeting meal and snack schedules. The cook creates home-style, nutritious meal plans within the school’s menu and budget and in accordance with state and federal requirements; prepares meals and snacks for children and staff; and distributes food to classrooms. The position follows the daily menu provided by the Director, maintains food and supply inventory, and orders additional supplies when needed. The cook may also assist in classrooms as an Assistant Teacher or Floater.

- Willingness to learn and adhere to all current state and local regulations.
- Flexibility regarding hours and work schedule.

- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
Responsibilities
