About The Position

LOT Commercial Property Services is hiring a full-time Day Porter to maintain a clean, welcoming, and presentable commercial property at 5124 Hollister Ave, Santa Barbara, CA 9311. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Wednesday from 5:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Pay is $19.00 per hour, paid weekly.

The Day Porter serves as the eyes and ears of the property, regularly inspecting it, keeping public spaces clean, and reporting maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor. The role involves working independently, providing friendly customer service, and being physically active both indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English or Spanish.
• Familiarity with regularly using a mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, for timekeeping and document review.
• Friendly customer service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfort working on one's feet and outdoors, with physical activity throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk stairs and regularly walk large properties.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and job-related physical endurance test.

Responsibilities

• Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Pick up trash and empty receptacles.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas.
• Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills.
• Remove debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti.
• Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to a supervisor.
• Use required safety equipment.
