About The Position

The Arc Oneida-Lewis is seeking a Day Habilitation Director to oversee the direction and day-to-day operations of Day Habilitation services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This role is based in Clinton, NY.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, or a related field, or Registered Nurse, or commensurate experience in the human service field.
Associate's degree with three years of experience in the human service field.
High School Diploma with five years of experience in the human service field.
Valid NYS Driver's License

Responsibilities

Supervise staff and individuals supported by the program.
Ensure the health and safety of all program participants.
Collaborate with the Plan Writer to ensure current staff action plans align with Life Plans and promote valued outcomes for each individual.
Work with Care Coordinators to identify prospective referrals and manage admission documentation.
Communicate with the individual's circle of support in conjunction with the Care Coordinator and Plan Writer.
Ensure individuals spend their time in meaningful and functional activities.
Assist and train staff in mastering skills for proper implementation of habilitation plans and documentation.
Maintain a current table of organization and staffing plan with the assistance of the Director of Day Services.
Ensure new hires receive on-site orientation and follow departmental onboarding protocols.
Provide training for all staff, including the use of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Ensure adequate documentation of program purchasing processes and proper operation of the inventory control system.
Address issues identified by quality assurance, corporate compliance, BPC, or other audits.
Review Therap entries routinely and follow up as necessary.
Ensure the physical plant is in good repair, routinely cleaned, and address maintenance needs via work orders.
Dispense medication on an as-needed basis.
