About The Position

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1-2 years dispatch experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must successfully pass background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Operational Planning & Execution: Ability to coordinate routes, schedules, and resources efficiently to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Communication & Customer Service: Strong verbal and written skills to provide clear instructions to drivers, respond to inquiries, and address issues promptly.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to quickly assess situations, manage unexpected changes (e.g., delays, equipment issues, weather), and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor driver logs for errors, violations, and working hours.
  • Flag potential weather-related issues for drivers.
  • Ensure drivers follow DOT regulations for safe operations.
  • Analyze efficient routes to meet customer needs cost-effectively.
  • Review daily orders to deploy resources.
  • Track driver progress, process orders, and address concerns.
  • Monitor equipment availability for daily operations.
  • Review completed services to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide records to support invoicing.
  • Utilize Excel and routing software for scheduling and verification.
  • Answer calls and dispatch instructions as needed.
  • Communicate progress and resolve driver issues.
  • Maintain all operational and compliance records.
  • Use judgment and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Identify ways to optimize routing and service delivery.
  • Consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.
