About The Position
Campus Services Group (CSG) is hiring a School Day Porter to help maintain a clean and safe school environment. The role involves daily janitorial tasks across school areas and working closely with staff and students to meet cleanliness standards. The position is located at 4263 3rd Ave, Bronx, NY 10457, and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The offered pay rate is $19.00–$21.00 per hour. Salary rates are based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the needs and operational requirements of the facility served. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
- Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.
- Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, and replenish lavatory supplies as needed.
- Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.
- Use cleaning solutions safely and follow all safety precautions.
- Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
- Assist with event support and respond promptly to paging systems.
- Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Consistently meet customer service and cleaning standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
