GDIT is looking for a Database Administrator – Oracle & SQL Server to join our National Institutes of Health (NIH) CIT Hosting and Storage Services Program. We are seeking a collaborative and technically skilled engineer to support the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise database services. Our ideal candidate brings hands-on experience supporting Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments and a strong understanding of database operations, performance, security, and lifecycle management. As a member of our Database Services team, this engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of enterprise database environments while partnering with customers to support their application and data requirements. The successful candidate will monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain security and compliance, perform upgrades and migrations, and support the continued modernization of database services across on-premises and cloud environments. This is a HYBRID role - 3 days on customer site in Bethesda MD. This role will require you to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and will require you to provide onsite fingerprinting at a designated facility. This investigation may review personal and criminal behavior, financial conduct, foreign influence, as well as other adjudications.
