About The Position

Lentech is seeking a self-motivated individual to join a small, talented, and hardworking database administration team. This role involves supporting and maintaining databases, creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases across multiple networks and architectures. The environment includes databases hosted both on-premise and in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies, and a desire to automate processes and think creatively to find solutions. This position offers opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to process growth and maturity.

Requirements

Active and current TS.SCI w FSP security clearance.
Ten (10) years of experience as a DBA.
Demonstrable experience supporting MS SQL, MariaDB, and/or Oracle databases.
Compliance with DOD 8570.01-M with a minimum certification of IAT Level II (CCNA - SECURITY, GICSP, GSEC, Security +, SSCP).
Experience with index and performance management.
Experience troubleshooting issues with instances and applications.
Experience with backup and recovery processes.
Ability to work with diverse teams in support of a common mission.
Effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AWS services, specifically RDS.
Experience with PowerShell/Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
Exposure to Commvault backup solutions.
Knowledge of SQL Server AlwaysOn.
Knowledge of Windows Event Log Filtering.
Knowledge of Windows Task Scheduler Setup and Management.
Experience supporting SharePoint implementations.

Responsibilities
