Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah and exists to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. Using Dr. Jeremiah’s teaching, we capture, curate, and communicate Bible Strong content through the power of media to share the Gospel with theological and creative excellence. Dr. Jeremiah is committed to teaching the entirety of God’s Word to the world, and his teaching is delivered in multiple languages to approximately 3 billion people across the globe through Turning Point’s various media channels. To accomplish this mission, more than two hundred staff across various disciplines are committed to sharing the Gospel and Bible Strong teaching through Turning Point. Position Summary: The Data Systems Specialist reports directly to the Director of Data Systems & Insights and supports operational data processing, reporting, and automation functions. This position manages inbound order and donor data; develops and maintains SQL Server and ETL processes; supports automated import and reconciliation workflows; and ensures data accuracy across reporting systems. This position also develops Power BI reports, maintains documentation, executes operational tasks, and collaborates with internal departments to support business processes and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in data processing or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in understanding assigned operational processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Proficiency in SSIS package development, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Power BI Report development, semantic models, dataset optimization, and business intelligence reporting
  • Must be able to follow complex Boolean logic sequences and know resident data sufficiently for self-checking extracts and reports for accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Scrub, validate, and process orders from the web, mail, and external call centers into Studio Enterprise
  • Develop and maintain SSIS packages for loading, validating, and transforming raw operational files
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server processes used in imports automation, including stored procedures, views, and validation logic
  • Support automated processing of external call center data, including media attribution, discount handling, premium/purchase classification, and offer-rule logic
  • Process Bi-monthly Autopay
  • Support daily imports operations, including order cancellations, exception handling, and ETL reconciliation
  • Keep all documentation up to date
  • CC5/EFT5 Auto-giving processing and related reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and validate paginated reports, ad-hoc data extracts, and downloadable report files for internal departments
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, semantic models, and business intelligence outputs, including data modeling, data validation, and user-facing report support
  • Execute and validate assigned month-end scripts and reports
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Finance/Accounting, and Media to gather report requirements, resolve process issues, and support imports changes
