About The Position

Genesis Capital is a leading business purpose lender specializing in commercial real estate financing solutions for real estate developers. As a subsidiary of Rithm Capital, the Data Strategy Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, completeness, and integrity of market and prospect data that fuels the Company's sales pipeline. This role involves identifying and profiling prospective borrowers, verifying their information, and maintaining this data as a reliable asset across sales, reporting, and credit systems. Working within the Strategy & Analytics team, the analyst will collaborate with Business Intelligence and Sales Management on data priorities and act as a research resource for the broader commercial organization. While an offshore research team handles primary discovery, this position defines research parameters, sets output standards, resolves complex judgment calls, and ensures data integrity within the firm's systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, or a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • One to four (4) years of professional experience, internship experience, or relevant coursework in market research, data validation, or analytics.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills and experience working with large data sets.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize research findings for sales and executive audiences.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities against recurring deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the patience for high-volume work where accuracy is paramount.
  • Investigative curiosity and persistence to trace entities through multiple sources.
  • Sound judgment regarding documented procedures and the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Comfort working with distributed and vendor teams across different time zones.
  • Ability to interface with senior stakeholders and take initiative with a clear business purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Translate commercial priorities into research criteria to identify target markets, lender relationships, and product segments.
  • Manage and quality-review the work of the offshore research team, ensuring prospects meet defined standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of market coverage and competitor activity, identifying gaps in prospect pools.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of prospect and borrower records across all firm platforms.
  • Adjudicate entity-resolution issues that automated processes cannot settle, determining record associations and relevance.
  • Review and correct algorithm-driven changes to entity relationships, maintaining an audit trail.
  • Keep the active prospect pool current by retiring outdated records and resolving duplicates.
  • Serve as a research resource for sales, client acquisition, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Provide prospect intelligence to shape the firm's approach to opportunities, including portfolio size and product fit.
  • Support conference and event preparation with attendee research and campaign intelligence.
  • Produce recurring production and pipeline reporting aligned with firm definitions.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence on data integrity issues, escalate system defects, and propose process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate research and validation processes, supporting design and testing.
