About The Position

Genesis Capital is a leading business purpose lender specializing in commercial real estate financing for real estate developers. As a subsidiary of Rithm Capital, the Company is seeking a Data Strategy Analyst to ensure the quality and integrity of market and prospect data that fuels the sales pipeline. This role involves identifying and profiling prospective borrowers, verifying their information, and maintaining data accuracy across sales, reporting, and credit systems. The analyst will be part of the Strategy & Analytics team, collaborating with Business Intelligence and Sales Management on data priorities and serving as a research resource for the commercial organization. While an offshore research team handles primary discovery, this position defines research criteria, sets quality standards, resolves complex data issues, and ensures the integrity of data within the firm's systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, or a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • One to four (4) years of professional experience, internship experience, or relevant coursework in market research, data validation, or analytics.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills and comfort working across large data sets.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to summarize research findings for sales and executive audiences.
  • Strong time management, with the ability to hold multiple competing priorities against recurring deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the patience for high-volume work in which accuracy is the product.
  • Investigative curiosity and the persistence to trace an entity through several sources before reaching a conclusion.
  • Sound judgment about when a record falls outside documented procedure, and the instinct to escalate rather than assume.
  • Comfort working with distributed and vendor teams across time zones.
  • Ability to interface with senior stakeholders and to take initiative with a clear business purpose in mind.
  • High level of accountability and a dedication to producing work that is easily consumable by executives and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Translate commercial priorities into research criteria for selecting markets, lender relationships, and product segments.
  • Manage and quality-review the work of the offshore research team, setting standards for valid prospects.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of addressable market coverage and competitor activity.
  • Identify areas where the prospect pool is insufficient relative to sales capacity.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistent representation of prospect and borrower records across all firm platforms.
  • Adjudicate entity-resolution issues that automated processes cannot settle.
  • Review and correct algorithm-driven changes to entity relationships, maintaining an audit trail.
  • Keep the active prospect pool current by retiring outdated records and resolving duplicates.
  • Serve as a research resource for sales, client acquisition, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Provide prospect intelligence on portfolio size, investment behavior, and product fit.
  • Support conference and event preparation with attendee research and campaign intelligence.
  • Produce recurring production and pipeline reporting consistent with firm definitions.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence on data integrity issues and system defects.
  • Propose changes to interdepartmental processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate the research and validation cycle.
  • Support the design and testing of automation changes.
  • Effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management.
