About The Position

The Data Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of StrategicSource's data processes. This position helps manage how data moves through our systems—from source documents through automated extraction tools and into our ERP system—so it can be used for reporting, client deliverables, and internal decision-making. In this role, you will help support and maintain our document processing and spend analysis workflows, ensuring data is clean, consistent, and usable across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams. This role is central to maintaining high data quality, supporting client-facing work, and helping our operations scale efficiently across teams, including Sourcing, Client Services, Finance, and Assessments. This position could be remote, hybrid, or in-office, depending on the candidate's location and experience. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) workflows and data structures.
  • Analytical mindset with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system and data issues.
  • Process-driven with a focus on consistency and scalability.
  • Effective communicator across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience with procurement or supplier data preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as additional system support for Acumatica, StrategicSource's ERP system. Assist in maintaining user access, permissions, security roles, and report development.
  • Own the configuration, training, and optimization of Nanonets models. Ensure accurate extraction of invoices, statements, and vendor documents. Assist in the development and maintenance of mapping rules between Nanonets outputs and Acumatica fields. Partner with Sourcing and Assessments to ensure document workflows support category-specific needs. Continuously improve IDP model performance.
  • Assist in the full intake workflow for client spend assessments. Validate completeness and accuracy of client provided documents. Ensure proper categorization, vendor normalization, and data structuring. Maintain timelines and ensure assessments meet delivery deadlines.
  • Partner with Sourcing to ensure vendor data aligns with category needs. Support Client Services with accurate reporting inputs and client-specific data needs. Provide training and support to internal teams on Acumatica and Nanonets processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual steps with Nanonets Standardize intake and extraction workflows. Assist in the documentation for processes and systems. Recommend enhancements to improve data quality, speed, and scalability.
