About The Position

The Data Solutions Analyst works in Golden 1 Credit Union’s Operations Continuous Improvement department and reports to the Supervisor - Service Operations Data Solutions. The role turns operational data into insights and recommendations that support business performance and informed decision-making. It uses Golden 1’s data warehouse, primarily through T-SQL and Microsoft SSMS, to investigate data and operational processes, maintain data quality, answer business partners’ requests, and create curated datasets for Power BI visualizations. The analyst also partners with IT and Data Warehouse teams on research and support across the ETL process, while contributing to data governance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience, or demonstrable equivalent attitude, aptitude, or technical capability.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a data-centric curriculum, such as mathematics, computer science, or statistics.

Responsibilities

• Apply an understanding of data and KPIs while upholding accountability to Golden 1’s principles of member commitment and service excellence.
• Use Golden 1’s data warehouse model to write, maintain, and deploy custom T-SQL scripts, primarily through Microsoft SSMS.
• Investigate how operational processes interact with source-data representation, and implement code changes and quality controls as needed.
• Interpret ad hoc data requests from business partners, clarify their wording and root causes, and provide accurate, tailored quantitative guidance.
• Develop and curate custom datasets for Power BI visualizations that are effective across organizational levels.
• Build relationships and assess people, processes, and technology to identify opportunities for streamlining and improvement.
• Promote the integrity of Golden 1’s data governance strategy and partner with IT and Data Warehouse teams to provide research and support throughout the ETL process.
