About The Position

KidsAbility is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst to support our growing need for data-driven insights and enhanced business intelligence capabilities. This role is ideal for a data professional who is passionate about transforming data into meaningful stories, building impactful reporting solutions, and helping teams make informed decisions. Reporting to the Manager of Data & Quality, the Data & Reporting Analyst will design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that support clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Data Management, Social Sciences, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency with Power BI, including DAX, and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and Power Query.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Experience working with large and complex datasets, with a focus on data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to create effective data visualizations and translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including gathering requirements, presenting findings, and supporting data-informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, including data standards, metadata management, privacy, and security practices.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and support organizational reporting needs.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle to support work across multiple sites is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Python or R for data preparation, automation, analytics, or ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud and Microsoft data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Power Platform, SharePoint, or related technologies.
  • Experience in healthcare, community services, non-profit, or other mission-driven environments.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent certification).
  • Certifications in data management, analytics, or other business intelligence platforms (ie. Tableau, Qlik).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools.
  • Analyze clinical, operational, and organizational data to identify trends, measure performance, and generate actionable insights.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and present findings through clear, meaningful data stories tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Automate and optimize recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and accessibility.
  • Support data quality, integrity, and consistency by identifying and resolving reporting and data issues.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data definitions, reporting standards, metadata documentation, and a centralized data dictionary.
  • Assist in establishing scalable reporting processes and best practices that support organizational data governance.
  • Partner with teams across Clinical Services, HR, Finance, and other departments to understand reporting needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into accessible reports and dashboards that support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support staff in understanding and using data effectively to inform their work and improve outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities, improve data literacy, and increase organizational access to meaningful insights.
  • Champion a data-informed culture by making data approachable, relevant, and actionable across the organization.
