About The Position

The Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC) is an independent, mission-driven nonprofit that leverages data to drive price transparency, advance health equity, and improve health and health care for Coloradans. As the designated administrator of the Colorado All Payer Claims Database (CO APCD), we transform claims data into powerful insights that inform policy, foster accountability, and accelerate system-level improvement. We partner with communities, health systems, policymakers, and leaders across the state to advance affordability, equity, and outcomes – and we approach this work with analytical rigor, creativity, and a commitment to measurable impact. We envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to be healthy and can access affordable, high-quality care. Our core values – Service, Stewardship, Integrity, and Equity – guide every aspect of our work and reflect our dedication to empower people and organizations working to improve health and well-being across the state. The Analyst will assess the quality of data submitted by healthcare payers and will evaluate the quality of data after it has been processed, enhanced, and loaded into the CO APCD. This position supports the Data Quality team in identifying best practices to ensure claims data in the CO APCD is complete, accurate, well-documented, and capable of satisfying a variety of existing and innovative use cases.
