About The Position
The Data Management Specialist joins New Mexico State University's Accounting & Financial Reporting team in the Administration and Finance division. The role supports finance data and systems through maintenance of Banner Chart of Accounts and AR Detail Code FOAPAL elements, oversight of organizational hierarchy and General Ledger control reports, reconciliation preparation, journal voucher entry and documentation custody, and processing finance-system feeds and financial aid runs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities
- Maintain Banner Chart of Accounts and AR Detail Code FOAPAL elements.
- Maintain the Banner organizational hierarchy.
- Monitor Banner General Ledger control reports.
- Prepare IDC reconciliation.
- Enter manual journal vouchers.
- Serve as data custodian for finance journal voucher documentation.
- Serve, under the Controller's direction, as a data custodian for Banner Finance data.
- Process daily finance system feeds, JV feeds, and financial aid runs.
