About The Position
The Data Management Specialist joins New Mexico State University's Accounting & Financial Reporting team within the Administration and Finance division. The role supports finance data and systems operations, including maintaining Banner finance structures, monitoring control reports, reconciling indirect costs, processing journal vouchers and system feeds, and safeguarding finance documentation and data under the Controller's direction. The position is based in Las Cruces and follows a standard Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.
Requirements
- Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities
- Maintain Banner Chart of Accounts and AR Detail Code FOAPAL elements.
- Maintain the Banner organizational hierarchy.
- Monitor Banner General Ledger control reports.
- Prepare IDC reconciliation.
- Enter manual journal vouchers.
- Serve as data custodian for finance journal voucher documentation.
- Serve as data custodian for Banner Finance data under the Controller's direction.
- Process daily finance system feeds, JV feeds, and financial aid runs.
