About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst primarily supports Medical Economics, Population Health, and/or Risk Adjustment teams through Azure Data Lake capabilities. The role assists with enterprise business semantic-layer data sets, data ingestion, data analysis, and functional requirements delivery across SDLC and Agile lifecycles. It requires strong SQL, Oracle, and analytical skills, along with healthcare insurance experience; experience in Medical Economics or Risk Adjustment analytics is preferred.

This is a hybrid, office-based position at the Ellis Preserve office in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote days are Monday and Friday. For remote work, a reliable high-speed internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required. Eligible fully remote associates in certain states may submit for reimbursement of internet service.

Requirements

• Five to seven or more years of experience in the healthcare industry, including Medicaid or Medicare.
• Three to five years of direct user-interface experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, with excellent writing and communication skills.
• Detailed understanding or data-domain expertise in claims, enrollment, and/or Population Health in payer organizations.
• Strong SQL skills, including the ability to create and build queries.
• Understanding of ETL technologies from a business systems analyst perspective.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
• Strong understanding of Medicaid managed-care data.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing complex business questions.
• Advanced capabilities in pulling, validating, and synthesizing data to derive actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet with at least 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload to support remote work.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining analytical data sets supporting Risk Adjustment, Medical Economics, and Population Health reporting and analytics.
• Apply healthcare domain knowledge to translate business needs into data requirements, mappings, and functional documentation for analytical solutions.
• Provide hands-on experience or foundational understanding in at least one of Risk Adjustment, Medical Economics, or Population Health.
• Analyze inbound data files and resolve related problems.
• Perform data analysis using Excel, SQL, or other toolsets.
• Prepare functional requirements documentation (FRD).
• Adhere to SDLC and Agile lifecycle processes and manage change control processes and approvals.
• Maintain team documentation, including data inventories, mapping documents, and flow diagrams.
• Assist in managing large-scale projects, leading appropriate resources, and determining project requirements and deliverables to support successful implementations meeting ACFC user needs.
• Assist in ensuring successful project conclusions and large-scale projects meet ACFC corporate objectives.
• Lead, evaluate, and provide technical and project life-cycle methodology.
• Regularly communicate business or process solutions, recommendations, and issues to ACFC management.
• Interact regularly with ACFC user areas to discuss, observe, and review divisional tasks in support of successful implementation of project requests.
• Keep staff apprised of progress, problems, objectives, and initiatives through established regular communications with the Manager, and solicit input on business priorities, plans, and progress.
