POSITION SUMMARY: BRC Group is a manufacturer of commercial office furniture located in Georgetown, Ontario. We have an immediate opening for a Data Entry Intern to support a Contract period in our Customer Experience Department. The ideal candidate will assist with entering and maintaining accurate information within our customer database. This role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who thrives on precision, balancing data entry with data cleanup and maintenance. The Data Entry Intern will act as a bridge between Customer Experience, Quoting & Sales Admin, and Operations, ensuring that dealer and customer records are accurate and complete. They will also support error identification, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; post-secondary would be considered an asset.
  • Exceptional "eagle-eye" for detail with a low tolerance for errors; ability to spot discrepancies in large reports.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Typing speed: 35 WPM.

Nice To Haves

  • No prior experience required. Training will be provided.
  • A track record of database experience is a plus.
  • Good time-management skills; effective time management an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-accuracy verifying of pricing, quantities, SKUs, and shipping specifications
  • Assist with database cleanup and standardization of customer and dealer records
  • Support new customer setup and ensure completeness of required documentation
  • Perform regular open order error checks
  • Assist with recurring error reporting
  • Develop understanding of internal systems to support reporting and analysis
  • Maintain digital records
  • Provide administrative support as needed
  • Identify recurring data issues and suggest process improvements
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Ensure all updates comply with data governance standards
  • Escalate discrepancies prior to making changes
  • Operate within defined system permissions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all data
  • Maintain 90% - 95% data accuracy of all data entered within 1 business day of receipt of the request
  • Complete tasks within defined timelines
  • Adhere to data quality standards
  • Contribute to identifying improvement opportunities
