About The Position

The Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) is a dairy farmer-owned cooperative and dairy processor founded in 1916. MMPA serves dairy farmers in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin, with a strong presence in the dairy industry through strategic business relationships and processing value-added dairy products. MMPA operates four member-owned processing plants in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio, producing a variety of dairy products including fluid milk, sour cream, cheese, cottage cheese, ice cream, butter, and more. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of data entry experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong data entry speed with minimal errors
  • Basic understanding of production processes and inventory management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to escalate discrepancies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365, or similar) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and update production orders, inventory transactions, and material movements into the ERP system
  • Process bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and work order data
  • Verify production data against source documents (shop floor paperwork, inventory logs, shipping/receiving records)
  • Assist with maintaining item master data, part numbers, and product specifications
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory reconciliations
  • Monitor data integrity and report discrepancies to supervisors
  • Generate routine production and inventory reports as needed
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, warehouse staff, purchasing, and accounting to ensure data accuracy
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records in compliance with company policies
  • Adhere to company safety standards and production protocols
  • Other duties as assigned.
