About The Position

This role involves accurately entering daily inventory usage and finished goods into the system, working collaboratively within a team. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with basic computer knowledge. A key aspect of the role is ensuring accuracy and attention to detail for proper inventory control and product traceability. The Data Entry Clerk will also assist with various inventory tasks, including cycle counting, monitoring raw materials, and month-end/year-end programs. Collaboration with production and staging teams is essential to ensure correct information and item verification. The role also includes reporting food safety issues and suspicious activity related to food defense.

Requirements

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Complete understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
  • Follow and monitor to assure all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines are implemented and followed.
  • Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter daily inventory usage and resulting finished goods.
  • Develop positive working relationships with personnel.
  • Monitor physical inventory to ensure accuracy of items being used.
  • Calculate actual product usage of ingredients and adjust out of inventory system.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain proper inventory control.
  • Communicate production details effectively.
  • Assist with product traceability as needed.
  • Assist daily cycle counting.
  • Monitor raw materials for first expired, first out use.
  • Assist with month end & year-end inventory programs.
  • Collaborate with production entry team members to ensure correct information is entered into production paperwork.
  • Collaborate with staging personnel to verify correct items are staged for use.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.
  • Report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action.
