CGI is seeking a detail oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Troy, Alabama. This position is an on site role supporting business operations through accurate and timely entry, validation, maintenance, and management of critical data across multiple systems and platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in data entry, administrative support, records management, or a related field
  • Strong keyboarding and data entry skills with demonstrated attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information responsibly
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with enterprise databases or customer information systems
  • Familiarity with document management and records retention practices
  • Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, or quality assurance activities

Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain data within internal databases and business systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Review source documents and records to verify completeness and consistency before data entry
  • Perform routine quality checks to identify and correct data discrepancies and errors
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in accordance with company policies
  • Organize and manage electronic and physical records to support business operations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve missing or inaccurate information
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and service level objectives
  • Generate reports and assist with data audits as required
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing data quality and operational efficiency
