Following our remarkable growth in Switzerland, Poland, and Germany, Unit8 is expanding into the US market. We are seeking a Data Engineer who will work directly with customers, owning delivery strategy and implementation.

Requirements

  • Proficient software engineer who knows the fundamentals of computer science and masters the Python programming language.
  • Knows how to write distributed services and work with high-volume heterogeneous data, preferably with distributed systems such as Spark.
  • Knowledgeable about data governance, data access, and data storage techniques.
  • Worked with Palantir Foundry or are willing to get upskilled.
  • Strong client-facing skills: comfortable interacting with clients (business & technical audience), delivering presentations, problem-solving mindset.
  • Understand the value of teamwork.
  • Willing to travel to meet with our clients and the team (mainly in Europe - up to 15% of your time).

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines and processing systems that are relied on for both production and analytics applications, using variety of open-source and closed-source technologies.
  • Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers, ML experts and stakeholders, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day.
  • Work in multi-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives.
  • Interact with our clients to understand their data-related challenges and related tech and business questions they need to answer.

  • Rewarding Package: The estimated base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $150,000. In addition to base pay, total compensation includes an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
