About The Position

Synera is building an internal superagent, an AI layer over all of Synera's business data and tools that every employee can delegate work to. The data foundation for this superagent is crucial, and this role involves owning, building, and shaping it. This includes the data warehouse, expanding it from a GTM reporting store into Synera's system of insight, covering GTM data, product telemetry, engineering work, support, finance, and more. It also involves building every connector into the data warehouse and the interfaces that allow agents to query it. The role requires working with every team to integrate their data into a machine-readable format. The ideal candidate is a builder with strong SQL skills, experience in building ETL/data pipelines and data models, and expertise in data extraction and transformation. Experience building the data layer behind LLM applications, integrating multiple systems, and a strong focus on data access and privacy are essential. An automator by instinct, the candidate should be proficient with scripts, APIs, workflow tools, and AI agents, using LLMs as a daily working tool. Experience in building user-friendly reporting and forecasting is also important. Clear communication with non-technical colleagues and stakeholders is required. The role offers the opportunity to own a significant part of the company's data infrastructure and directly influence how the company is run, reporting into Business Operations.

Requirements

  • SQL is second nature.
  • Built ETL/data pipelines (Airflow or similar) and data models.
  • Strong in data extraction and transformation.
  • Built the data layer behind LLM applications: retrieval, embeddings and vector search, context design, MCP and comparable tool interfaces.
  • Integrated multiple systems: APIs, webhooks, auth models, rate limits and unannounced schema changes.
  • Can debug a discrepancy across three tools until you find which definition was wrong.
  • Thinks about data access and privacy by default.
  • Automator by instinct: scripts, APIs, workflow tools, and AI agents are how you scale yourself.
  • Uses LLMs as a daily working tool.
  • Built reporting and forecasting people actually use.
  • Knows the difference between a dashboard and an answer.
  • Works in English confidently.
  • Communicates clearly with non-technical colleagues, sales reps, marketers, and executives alike.
  • Ownership mentality: documents what you build, notices what nobody asked about, and would rather fix the system than the symptom.
  • Resonates with Synera's Core Values.

Nice To Haves

  • German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data warehouse (Timescale): design and development to always be cutting edge.
  • Extract data from GTM and business systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, product, finance, ...) into the data warehouse reliably, and structure & annotate it for querying.
  • Build and own data flows: ETL pipelines (Airflow/Timescale), data models, and sync jobs to keep systems consistent.
  • Turn data into foresight: build the reporting and forecasting layer (Power BI, Salesforce reports, forecast models) for leadership and extrapolate business trends from pipeline, funnel, and usage data.
  • Make the data agent-ready: model and expose it (warehouse models, APIs, MCP connectors, permissions, governance) for AI agents and the superagent.
  • Build the retrieval layer for unstructured data (documents, wiki content, tickets, meeting transcripts): chunking, embeddings, indexing.
  • Ensure transformations are version-controlled, tested, and documented.
  • Treat data quality as a product: build in monitoring, validation, and hygiene.
  • Partner with every team to get their data into the warehouse and in a state an agent can act on, and change how it gets created so machine-readable is the default.

Benefits

  • Flexible working: decide when & where to work (as long as you have a residency in Germany).
  • Flexible public holidays: swap days off according to your values and beliefs!
  • Home office setup support.
  • Access to our office in Bremen.
  • Personal development budget of €2,000 to attend conferences and trainings or buy interesting books.

  • Mental health platform nilo.
  • Regular team events, virtual coffee breaks, and spontaneous afterworks.
