About the position
As an experienced Senior Software Engineer on the Electronic Execution Services (EES) team at Clear Street, you will play a crucial role in disrupting the electronic execution services space. Your responsibilities will include developing next-generation data products, leveraging modern tech stacks and platforms, and ensuring a world-class client experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex data-related issues, mentor teammates, and contribute to evolving technical standards and best practices. The EES team focuses on developing high-availability, high-throughput, low-latency, and high-feature-velocity systems to handle billions of dollars in order flow per day.
Responsibilities
- Develop next generation data products in the context of Clear Street's embrace of PaaS, modern tech-stacks, point solution development leveraging platforms, and deep commitment to world-class client experience
- Partner with others across the organization to understand complex data-related issues and seek effective compromises
- Mentor teammates and help evolve technical standards and best practices
- Further the culture of system designs
- Develop infrastructure for market participants to engage with the market
- Handle order flow of billions of dollars per day with high-availability, high-throughput, and low-latency
- Support all categories of market participants, including hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, retail investors, and other small and large institutions
- Architect and lead developer building, deploying, and supporting large-scale distributed systems
- Design and implement architectures and implementations for high-availability, high-performance, low-latency, high-feature-velocity systems
- Implement asynchronous, event-driven, event-sourcing architectures
- Implement decoupled data and compute architectures
- Implement real-time analytics
- Utilize performance analysis and tuning tools and methods
- Possess experience in the exchange, broker-dealer, trading, or other finance industry
- Have knowledge of multiple asset classes, including equities, futures, options, fixed income, etc.
- Proficient in Python, Go, C++17/20, Rust
- Familiar with UNIX/Linux
- Experience with PaaS SW infrastructure stack
- Collaborate closely with others
Requirements
- Exchange, broker-dealer, trading, or other finance industry experience.
- Multiple asset classes, including equities, futures, options, fixed income, etc.
- Architect and lead developer building, deploying, and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
