About The Position

Adept Consulting Services is seeking a Data Engineer & Insights Analyst to build reliable data systems and turn complex information into insights that support business operations and decision-making. The role integrates data from multiple sources, improves data quality, and develops dashboards, reports, and analytical tools. The position works with business and technical teams to understand their needs and support data infrastructure improvements, system modernization, and data migrations. The role includes designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytical environments, developing cloud-based data solutions, and ensuring reliable data delivery through validation, monitoring, logging, and alerts. It also involves investigating data issues, automating processes, collaborating on useful data products, supporting system-related data conversions and migrations, maintaining documentation, and handling confidential information according to privacy, security, and governance requirements.

Requirements

Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and working with relational databases.
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources.
Experience developing dashboards, reports, or analytical tools that answer business questions.
Experience validating data quality and investigating data or workflow issues.
Ability to explain analytical findings and technical concepts to different audiences.
Ability to organize work, communicate priorities, and collaborate across teams.
Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
Relevant skills and experience may be demonstrated through employment, education, training, or comparable practical work.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, or Lambda.
Experience with Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions, or similar orchestration tools.
Experience working with large datasets, unstructured data, stream processing, or message queuing.
Experience supporting statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or machine learning.
Experience with data governance, metadata management, or system migrations.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical data environments.
Integrate, clean, and transform data from multiple systems to meet documented business and technical requirements.
Develop and maintain cloud-based data solutions and orchestration workflows.
Implement data validation, monitoring, logging, and alerts to support reliable data delivery.
Create dashboards, reports, and analytical models that communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
Automate manual processes and improve workflow performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, business leaders, and other stakeholders to develop useful data products.
Support data conversions and migrations associated with system upgrades or replacements.
Maintain documentation for data sources, definitions, structures, workflows, and dependencies.
Handle confidential information in accordance with applicable privacy, security, and data governance requirements.
