About The Position

Service Measure (SM), a field data collection company founded in 2013, is hiring a Data collector / Driver for a project in Lancaster, California. The project involves capturing images of streets, points of interest, and public areas in the United States using a vehicle equipped with a roof-mounted 360-degree camera. Images are stored on computers inside the vehicle and will later be used to enhance an online map.

Data collectors follow assigned routes around public streets and areas, particularly commercial districts and historical sites. Some areas may need to be revisited when weather conditions affect image quality. The project is expected to last 3 to 6 months and cover different data collection areas. The expected schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week; weekend work is possible due to weather-related downtime.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Good driving skills and a clean driving record.
• Enjoy driving during standard business hours.
• Availability for a minimum of 3 months.
• Private monitored parking space for the corporate vehicle.
• Great communication and reporting skills.
• Tech savvy, including ability to use Gmail, Google Forms, and Google Meet.
• High level of responsibility.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Successfully pass a criminal and driving-record background check.

Responsibilities
