About The Position

CoreWeave is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their Data Center Operations team. This role is crucial for building, maintaining, and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers the cloud, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of physical assets. The position involves hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, and potential participation in an on-call rotation. It is a salaried, 100% onsite role at one of their Data Center locations, contributing to a best-in-class client experience in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

Requirements

  • Computer Hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
  • Linux Operating System experience.
  • Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
  • Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including participating in a rotating on-call shift.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.
  • Candidates must be able to perform essential job duties in an environment with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow - specifically within designated hot and cold aisles - ranging from 60°F to 90°F.

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
  • Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
  • Root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
  • Training of internal teams.
  • Development of documentation.
  • Provide technical support to data center teams.
  • Development of scripts to update the server and networking hardware.
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Assemble and install equipment.
  • Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required by business needs.
  • Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.
