About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Data Center Operator with facilities experience to manage the operations of our pilot data center. This role requires a proactive individual who can perform mechanical work, oversee the maintenance of equipment, and coordinate with subcontractors as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in facilities management, HVAC, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or data center operations.
Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, cooling technologies, and electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and subcontractors.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facilities management are a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the data center, ensuring all systems function optimally.
Monitor and maintain air-cooled chillers, CDU systems and fan coils.
Perform hands-on mechanical tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of facility systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
Engage and coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks or repairs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility-related inquiries and issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and service requests.
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility operations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the facility.
Promote a safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
