As the Area Lead, you will manage a geographically distributed team of talented electrical, cooling, and controls technicians, plant engineers, facility managers, and program managers who are responsible for the operational health and efficiency of Google’s Data Centers. You will need a combination of technical depth, management expertise, and leadership to develop, support, and guide multiple operations teams across a geographic area. You will bring knowledge of managing through change, and experience setting and delivering strategies in a rapidly changing environment. You will be a manager of managers, responsible for the team’s performance, well-being, and career development, execution against KPIs, use and of existing tools and systems, and collaboratively defining future processes, systems, and infrastructure.
