About The Position

The Data Center Logistics Specialist II performs logistics duties within a data center, including inventory management, asset management, and data management. The role executes and prioritizes daily operational activities, completes tasks within service-level agreement (SLA) and quality standards, and maintains high productivity while balancing accuracy and safety. The specialist may also perform the role and responsibilities of a Data Center Specialist.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to utilize a computer.

Previous experience in a data center is desirable.

Responsibilities

Complete the role and responsibilities of a Data Center Specialist.
Adjust workflows and priorities to meet operational demands.
Communicate and delegate workload changes within the scope of responsibility to meet SLA and quality standards.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies within defined thresholds.
Ensure proper tracking, labeling, and chain of custody of inventory.
Identify and enforce adherence to established SOPs, safety protocols, and handling guidelines.
Support audit readiness and corrective actions.
Communicate risks to SLA performance early and clearly.
Help identify root causes of errors, delays, or process breakdowns.
Take immediate corrective actions within authority and use escalation pathways appropriately for complex issues.
Provide timely, accurate updates to stakeholders and support seamless workflow handoffs.
Support implementation of new workflows, tools, or layouts.
Share and communicate best practices across shifts or teams.
Identify and immediately escalate safety risks or hazards; participate in safety initiatives and reporting.
Demonstrate reliability and consistency in performance.
